Multi-skill Gurukul at Dhanchatani

Honrorable Chief Minister Sri Arjun Munda will dedicate the multi-skill Gurukul established at Dhanchatani,Jamshedpur to the nation on 16/10/12. The total estimated cost of this project is around 1.00 crore.This project has come-up with the joint efforts of District Administration,Jamshedpur,PANIIT Alumni Reach for India and CII,Jharkhand with an objective to train the school drop-out rural youths in different trades.
Red Ribbon Express (RRE-III) Jamshedpur Dated 1st September 2012
The Red Ribbon Express which started its journey from Delhi on January 12, 2012, will arrive in Jharkhand on September 11 for a 10day visit. The RRE-III, an HIV/ AIDS awareness campaign on train will reach Tatanagar Railway Station on 19th September and halt for two days 19th and 20th September 2012.
The RRE-III project includes a specially designed seven coach train with exhibition on board on HIV/AIDS and health services, which will traverse 27,000 kilometers across the country stopping at 180 stations. The objective is to spread message on prevention of HIV/AIDS and various health issues.
The project will primarily focus on rural areas with the followings:
- Disseminating information regarding primarly prevention and services;
- developing an understanding about the infection to reduce stigma & discrimination against People Living with HIV/AIDS and;
- strengthening people's knowledge about the measures to be taken to prevent HIV/AIDS; and
- Adopting preventive health habits and lifestyle.
